Chief

The Jourdanton Police Department has had six Chiefs of Police since its inception. The current Chief of Police is Eric Kaiser, who started with the department in 2002 and has served as a Patrol Officer, Patrol Supervisor and Sergeant Investigator. He began his tenure as Chief on January 1st, 2009.

Chief Kaiser has served as President of the Atascosa County Law Enforcemnt Officer's Association, a member of the Board of Directors for the Atascosa Family Crisis Center, a member of the Advisory Committee for the Alamo Area Council of Government's Law Enforcement Academy, and is a member of the Texas Police Chief's Association.

Chief Kaiser is a Master Texas Peace Officer, a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Command College, and is certified as a Sexual Assault/Family Violence Investigator by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. When not on the job, Chief Kaiser donates his time to promote several charitable organizations that serve families of fallen law enforcement officers as well as police officers who are diagnosed with cancer and other life threatening health issues.
